This general statement has been prepared in order to satisfy the increasing number of enquiries regarding the EU Maximum Concentration Value (MCV) Decision of 23rd September 2004 and further detailed in the 2003 Directive 2002/95/EC. Our understanding is that a product shall be deemed compliant when it has been verified by testing, evaluation, or by supplier verification to have not more than the specified percentages of the following materials:

• Lead (Pb)  0.1%  by weight (1000 ppm)
• Hexavalent Chromium (Cr +6),  0.1%  by weight (1000 ppm)
• Mercury (Hg), 0.1% by weight  (1000 ppm)
• Cadmium (Cd), 0.01% ppm by weight (100 ppm)
• PolyBrominated Esters  (PBEs), 0.1% by weight (1000 ppm)

Materials exempted include alloys containing lead:  special steel (< 0.35%), aluminium alloys (< 0.4%) and copper alloys (< 4%). All materials we ship to you are therefore compliant or specifically exempted according to the directive.
